How to pray Kumanthong and Kumaree

How to worship the Golden Child (Kumanthong) and Kumaree

 

Before bringing the golden child (Kumanthong) into the house, please prepare the place for worship. Which should be separated from the Buddha or gods. 

• Should be lower level of Buddha altar

• Should not be placed in the west and at the foot.

 

For the first day that you brought him/her home. Please tell the spirit owner the house (The Guardian God to protect the house) once it's done. Prepare the food (rice + water) to feed Kumanthong or Kumaree By giving them take rice, red water (Fanta), milk and snacks at the same time talk to the child vie the conversation as below:

 

“Father or mother's name (your name) ……. I’m the person to take care of you after this your name is …….. (You can set their name (Kumanthong and Kumaree). And please introduce everyone in your house including Kumanthong and Kumaree that stayed before. Then you can tell them to be a good child, don't run away, help your parents (you) to work. Then I will find prizes for you (Kumanthong and Kumaree). We worship or take care of you, so you (Kumathong and Kumaree) can help us make a lot of money and help each other to a living, take care of the house, bring good luck and fortune.

Come and help your parents to fulfill their wishes. Kumanthong and Kumaree obey your parents go anywhere together and we will make merit and bring something to eat and buy toys to play with If you help your parents achieve their wishes.” (What would you like Kumanthong and kumaree to help, please told them all)

 

Tips for request with Kumanthong and kumaree:

Please specify clearly. How much money you needed, timeline and most importantly (ask for something is possible). However, everything depends on their own luck. When your wish came true, you had to hurry to make amends for the children.

 

Give them food (rice, milk, red juice every Buddhist holy day or once a week, not including snacks or toys).

When you wish for something, need to give them only snacks or toys as promised (depend what you tell them). We will not raise our children in a very indulgent manner, such as always buying snacks and toys for them. Even you didn’t make a wish and give them snacks and toys. Because children will get used to it and no need to help parents with work. And they will get everything.

Talk to Kumanthong and kumaree in every day. Before going out called them to come together. Once you come home back home tell him that you have arrived.

 

What Kumanthong and kumaree like:

- Red water (Fanta) / water / milk (according to the agreement, how much to give, on which day, and also to light the incense sticks).

But usually offered every Buddhist holy day or when you fell convenience.

- Banana, orange, apple or any other fruit any snacks (don't offer savory and raw food)

 

- Toys or special prizes other than offerings
